The Hall of Heroes is a 501c3 non-profit organization founded in 2017. Our board is comprised of experienced business professionals committed to the mission of erecting a statue of the American hero, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The Foundation was granted exclusive licensing for this project from the King Foundation in 2018.

A native of Los Angeles, California and the VP, Commercial Services at CIT/One West Bank, Byron attended California State University, Long Beach and was commissioned as a Distinguished Military Graduate, majoring in Business Administration.
Byron is a member of several community service groups including 100 Black Men of Orange County, NAACP, Boy Scouts of America, American Heart Association, and is a Life Member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., He currently sits on the Board of Directors for Macedonia Baptist Church Community Development Corporation (CDC),100 Black Men of Orange County, as well as the Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, Greater Los Angeles.as the Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, Greater Los Angeles.

Clint Crawford is a native of Omaha, Nebraska and earned his BS in Mechanical Engineering from Tuskegee University. He then received his MBA from the USC.
His career path has been a journey through roles within the manufacturing and supply chain sectors with Fortune 500 companies such as Target, Home Depot and AT&T. Today he is Vice President of Operations for E.B. Bradley Company, the west coast’s largest distributor of premium home and residential hard surface product solutions.
Clint currently serves on the board of directors for the USC Global Supply Chain Masters Program and the National Black MBA Association of Los Angeles.

Alicia Humphrey Burnett is a Business Consultant with over 22 years, experience in the professional beauty industry. She was Vice President of International Sales & Marketing at Sexy Hair, Inc., for 20 years where she grew a distribution portfolio and created a global presence spanning 70 countries on 6 continents.
She serves on the Board of the Diamond In The Raw Foundation and is the President of BSU Parent Board at her daughter’s school, Westmark. She is also a member of Los Angeles Chapter of Jack & Jill of America and is an active participant in all of the organization’s fundraising and volunteering achievements

Eric Bell is a collaborative wealth preservationist and income sustainability specialist with expertise in investment management and wealth-building strategies for individuals, businesses, foundations, and endowments. Eric also has a proven track record of joining forces with CEOs, Senior Executive Management and their boards of directors to expand market penetration, increase corporate valuation, and enhance harmonious corporate cultures.
Eric has served on several boards including the Boys and Girls Club of San Juan Capistrano, Habitat for Humanity in Orange County, and the UCI's Paul Merage School of Business where he currently serves as an Advisory Board Member.

Byron K. Reed is the senior vice president and head of Community Development at CIT/OneWest Bank, which offers a wide range of banking products in Southern California. In his role with the bank, he oversees the Southern California territory. CIT One West has approximately 70 branches that encompass a territory, which includes Los Angeles, Riverside/San Bernardino, Ventura, San Diego and Orange Counties. Reed earned a bachelor’s degree in political science/public administration and a minor in business finance from the University of Oklahoma.
Mr. Reed's previous experience also includes working for the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport Board as vice president of its Small and Emerging Business Division.

A Southern California native, Fred has focused on real estate planning and development throughout his career.
Fred received his Masters in Public Administration from Baruch College in New York, where he was a National Urban Fellow and his Bachelor of Science Degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Cal Poly Pomona.
Fred is currently the Senior Planner for the City of Inglewood overseeing transit oriented development/station area planning, active transportation, and other advance planning programs and projects.

Brian is a vice president and community development officer with City National Bank’s community reinvestment team. Based in LA, he establishes positive working and banking relationships with business owners and organizations in the communities City National’s colleagues work, live and conduct business.
Mr. Grant completed his coursework for his bachelor’s degree in finance and economics at California State University, Los Angeles and graduated cum laude from National University. Active in the community, he is a member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity and donates his time with the Male Success Alliance (MSA), City National Bank Black Colleague Alliance, the National University Alumni Association and the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce.

​Ludlow B. Creary II is a litigator/trial lawyer in Los Angeles, California. Mr. Creary has been in practice for 20 years and has spent 18 of those years managing his own law firm, the Law Offices of Ludlow B. Creary II.
Mr. Creary is a native of the Los Angeles area, and has resided there for most of his life. He graduated from the prestigious Beverly Hills High School, then went on to receive his bachelor of arts degree from UCLA, finally earning his juris doctor from the University of San Diego School of Law.
Mr. Creary is on the Board of the John Mercer Langston Bar Association, is a member of both Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity and Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity.

Austin is a defense attorney specializing in criminal defense. He represents a diverse body of clients throughout Southern California and aggressively handles state and federal offenses. Austin is a board certified specialist, the highest qualification recognized by the California State Bar. Austin is a native of Los Angeles and since starting his firm, has become one of the most sought after trial attorneys in the city. Austin is a graduate of the University of San Diego, where he was selected to the Law Review. He is a member of the Criminal Courts Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and The Trial Lawyers College.

​G. Bernard Brown received a B.S. in Math/Chemistry from Morehouse College, an MA in Math at UCLA and graduated from Pepperdine University with an MBA in Management.
Mr. Brown worked in the aerospace industry with Hughes Aircraft and Northrop Aircraft for 22 years in financial data processing performing programming and designing financial systems. He served as the Executive Director for the AAF Rose Bowl Aquatics Center for two years before serving as VP/President for an airline ground services company. He then acquired MRO Systems Inc., forming JALLOS Systems Incorporated in 2007. He currently serves as President/CEO of JALLOS Systems Inc. 
He is a member of Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity, Inc. (Boule) (since 1984) and a member of the Hawthorne-LAX-Lennox Rotary Club.

Rita Morales is Senior VP of Business Affairs for MGM Studios. Previous roles include SVP and Associate General Counsel for Turner Broadcasting, SVP of Programming and Chief Legal Officer for SíTV, VP of Business and Legal Affairs for Oxygen Media, and HBO & Warner Bros. legal depts.
Rita spent several years in private practice before her career in media, first as a corporate attorney with Manatt, Phelps, Rothenberg and Phillips and then as an associate at the prominent LA entertainment firm, Gang Tyre Ramer and Brown. A graduate of Harvard Law, she served as managing editor of the International Law Journal, earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations from UCDavis, graduating with high honors, and is a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society.
